Last week I did a photo shoot for model and blogger Helene Nygård who is currently represented by DP Models in Trondheim. The bikini was sponsored by Triangl Swimwear. We also shoot some photos with a plain flowery body and a flower garland. The photo shoot was set in my living room with not much space to play around with. I taped up a 130cm wide grey paper background on the wall and set up a single A-head Elinchrom Quadra flash strobe with the standard reflector attached and mainly shooting with a Nikon Nikkor 50mm f/1.4G- and a Nikon Nikkor 70-200 f/2.8 VRII-lens having some distance from me and my subject.

Yesterday Adressa.no published a short presentation video of Aagot Sofie Langlie from Trend Models. Aagot is a friend of mine I’ve been working with for quite a while now building her model portfolio and a presentation video for Miss Universe Norway 2014, which was also the theme for Adressa.nos video presentation. They also included some of my work in their video, but managed to confuse and credit Eric Fagerheim, a photographer in Trondheim, for some of my work and visa versa.

Here are some of my work with Aagot Sofie Langlie:

Today I had a quick shoot with Aagot Sofie Langlie up on my attic. Assisting me was Helene Nygård. Light setup I used was a Elinchrome 600 watt flash and an on-camera speedlight, Nikon SB-900. Nothing fancy. If you are wondering, the flash isn’t quite straight on the camera, but connected via an articulating arm and a iTTL-cable to get the flash as close to the lens as possible. I have been planning to buy a dedicated flash bracket, but figured it was much cheaper to just get friction arm which I could use for both flash photography and for mounting my monitor on my DSLR Video Rig. The arm is an 11 inch arm and comes from Photography & Cinema.

Monday I photographed blogger Helene Nygård at her home. Being a bit outside my comfort zone not shooting “angry fashion”, but soft portraity style images, I felt that I managed okay. As earlier shoots I have done, i.e. in Denmark, I made use of the models home and found some interesting parts of her house to do the shoot. I’ve been working with Helene a few times before, the first time was when recording a music video for Tempo and the second time was when she was a model for my mermaid poster at Strandafestivalen 2013. Go check out Helene’s blog at thehelly.blogg.no!

Here are some shots from the Strandafestivalen – poster that I made with Helene this summer.
