Stephanie and I have been planning this shoot for a while, but this weekend we finally got to this shoot, though it was a bit impulsive. Saturday evening I asked Stephanie if she was keen to do the gipsy / bohem-inspired fashion shoot in near future and she answered that Natalia, her older sister was doing a stylist assignment at school (Norsk Fotofagskole) with just the theme we had been planning for. Though the shoot had to be on Sunday because the assignment was due this week. Natalia was glad to hear that I could do the shoot for her.
The first location Natalia had planned was around the rural area of Moholt, but I didn’t feel that it add the right atmosphere for the shots I had in mind. Instead thought back to the first years when I first moved to town. I lived at Voll Studentby a student village, not far from the model and regularly went for walks in the area. and remebered one of the trails in the area with some vacancy, but was still open enough for the right mood I had pictured. They both agreed that we should try my location. After 45 minutes of shooting, the clouds drifting in and changed the light we worked with and we were kind of done with four costumes.
Below are some of my shots with a Minolta Dynax 7 (analogue camera) from 2004. At that time I mostly shot film and the cheapest way to get the shot digitalized was with a DIY contraption consisting of a black tube with home made film dias. The first photo is of Kjetil Høiby scanned with his film scanner, and the two following was shot with my DIY contraption.

I thought the last post was the last for a while, but then I got a little time before my flight to Denmark too off and then I could post some more pictures from the photo shoot I had with the Charite Viken (DP Models). Here we are in a fairly narrow elevator. Nikon 24mm f/2.8, SB-900 and Orbis Ring Flash is the extra equipment I used in addition to my trusty Nikon D700. Make-up and hair was done by Ann Karin Williams Aastø from OurStyle.
Well, now I’m leaving on a jet plane, leaving the snow, rain, ice and cold. 2 degrees Celsius and sun is a fairly good upgrade.
Second part from the series I did for Charite Viken, artist represented by DP-Models. As the first part, this is shot with natural illumination in a dim staircase in a parking garage in Trondheim. The reason for all the noise in this picture is that I had cranked up the ISO-speed to 2500 to get a decent exposure at f/2.8 with my 24mm lens. Even tough it’s not done perfect technical wise, I felt that the rawness in both the style and posture of Charite expressed and the noise all over the image says something about what I am trying to express. First I wanted the photo to be in black and white, but the dirty green light the fluorescent bulb was casting set the mood perfectly. The recent days I have been assisting Lars Erik Berg from Centerteam doing a commercial job for Mascot Høie A/S. Høie is a manufacturer based in Fosen making bedsheets and pillows. It was fun and experiencing two days at the studios of Centerteam.
Yesterday I did a model test with Charite Viken an artist known from her early years as a child star from Melody Grand Prix Junior. In recent years she has become more adult in the style of music and is now working at Agape in addition to working as a songwriter. She is also represented by the newly established model agency DP-Models ran by photographer Ronny Manuel Danielsen. Hair and make-up on this photo shoot was done by Ann Karin Williams Aastø from www.OurStyle.org.

In recent days I have photographed models from Modelbureauet Modelbooking. Tuesday I photographed Rasmus Michaelsen with clothes from Ei´kon. We used the store as a base and walked around downtown and found some locations that matched the clothes we used. Wednesday I shot four photo shoots, tree of them were polaroidshots and one larger testing with Jennifer Hansen in studio. Skyderiet which were the location of the studio shoot, was owned by Christina Lykke, a renowned photographer in Denmark. Today I have been in Aros, an art museum, to photograph Stephanie Bäckström with Maria Schläger Jensen as make-up artist and stylist.
Next week I am back doing school photography. I believe my boss is sending me on a road trip up north again, this time to Bodø, Narvik, Harstad, but I am not quite sure yet.

Nå blir det en kjapp middag før turen går til Rick’s Café i Trondheim for å fotografere Start HiSTs semesterlige arrangement, Gründerlounge. På programmet står Håvard Utheim som konferansier, Entrepenørskolen fra NTNU skal i tillegg til Harald Kjeldstad fra Siva og Atmel fra Silicon Valley stå for forelesningene og som litt ekstra underholdning er Orkdalsbandet Irresistible kjent fra X-Factor 2010 opptre.

Her er et portrett jeg tok av Lisa B. Holden i forbindelse med Susanne Amalie Nilsens eksamensoppgave på H2-Akademiet. Temaet for oppgaven hennes var “Monument” hvor hun har brukt noen av bildene jeg hadde fra før som inspirasjon, krøllet håret til Lisa og lagt på sorte fjær på øyelokkene.

Tidligere i dag var jeg å fotograferte Tripod både i studio og ute på location og straks skal jeg på Byhaven og fotografere sminking av modeller til H2 Hårshowet som skal være på Crash klokken 21 i kveld. Tripod spilte på Blæst under So Fucking What! Grunge Tribute somv var et arrangement til hyllest av Grunge-musikken på nitti-tallet. I morgen skal jeg til Granåsveien og fotografere et rehabilitert fabrikkbygg på oppdrag fra Logg for så å skyte bilder til en digital montasje-oppgave på skolen. Travel helg sa du?

Her er bildene fra et opptak jeg gjorde for Tina Larsen. Hår, sminke og styling er gjort av Tina og er inspirert av Max Mara. Hovedplanen var å gjøre et studio-opptak, men etter litt overveielse ville jeg gjøre opptaket utendørs med en litt fransk, subtil spionfølelse. Jeg vurderte også å dra inn til sentrum for å gjøre opptaket rundt Vår Frues Kirke, men slo fra meg tanken da jeg gikk opp allé-en ved Innheredsveien på Lademoen. Praktisk sett var det greit å bruke leiligheten min som base for sminke og hår for så å bruke lokalmiljøet som bakgrunn. Noen blikk fikk vi mens vi holdt på, men generelt sett er trøndere ganske innesluttet og gikk forbi uten en gang å se opp på det som skjedde. Assistent på opptaket var Sascha Njaa med sine fantastiske reflektor-holder-ferdigheter. Alle bildene er tatt med naturlig / tilstedeværende / reflektert lys og med relativt stor blenderåpning. Modellen er Unni Lund Olsen fra Trend Models i Trondheim.

Tirsdagen denne uka ble for det meste brukt til styling av modellen Unni Lund Olsen fra Trend Models i Trondheim. Bildene skal hovedsaklig brukes til å promotere både modellen, make-up-artisten, Tina Larsen og fotografen meg selv.
Den første stilen vi kjørte var en litt fransk/romantisk/spion/Max Mara-stil med trenchcoat i Lademoparken. Det andre oppsettet brukte vi gardinene til Tina og sminket Unni etter inspirasjon fra en bildeserie av modellen Maike Ludenbach. Opptaket foregikk i branntrappa utenfor Reina 8 på Svartlamoen. Det siste opptaket tok jeg inspirasjon fra Mert and Marcus opptak med Kate Moss i 2002 publisert i Vouge UK som er en sommerserie tatt i en ørken. Siden vi ikke har så god tilgang på ørken i Trondheim modifiserte vi litt og dro til Korsvika ved Trondheimsfjorden på Lade.
