During my stay in Denmark covering the Copenhagen Fashion Week A/W2013 I did some model testing. These shots are from the lingerie / fashion photo shoot I had with Kim van Tuijl from CPHWOLVES. Make-up and styling was done by Ryanne Sambros with clothes from Episode. Equipment I used beside my camera was a big madras with a white bed sheet as a reflector to lighten the darker areas.

After the Copenhagen Fashion Week I had decided to stay for a few more days to do some model testings before I left for Trondheim. I had made a few plans with a few models from different agencies and freelancers to do some shots. The pictures from this fashion photo shoot was of model Michaela Theibel with the help of makeup artist Louise Musse Christensen. As most of the testings I did, the location were just the models apartment being creative to find angles and building a slight liable story to the series. Since this was an abroad job, I didn’t have much photo equipment with me, no fancy light kits, just my lenses and a Nikon SB-900 speedlight.
The lingerie-photo shoot I shot of Ivalu Sørensen (Le Management), with Dorthe K. Hansen from DK-Styling as a stylist, this autumn has been featured in The View Mag’s issue #9. The magazine is a non-profit project with a lot of different submissions from all over the world, concerning fashion. Head over to TheViewMag’s homepage and order a print for 19$ or look at it at Issuuu.
I also did a little video teaser for this shoot showing a little of what is done before the shoot and how the lighting conditions during the shoot was. The video was shot hand held with a Nikon D800.
In November I was in Orkdal doing an impulse photo shoot with Hanne Lillery (Trend Models). We drove around in Orkdal a Sunday morning not knowing what we really went for. This is what came out of this shoot.
Zeleste asked me to do a short shoot with her earlier this year. I grabbed the chance when I was in Orkdal picking up Marthe Engdal for another shoot I had planned later that day with Linda Fjølstad (Trend Models). This was what came out of an hour shoot with Zeleste. A quite different scene than I did with Linda later that day.
Yesterday I had the last shoot with Marion Dyrvik Homlong for her portfolio for Miss Earth 2011. The shoot was down town Trondheim right next to Vår Frues Kirke, the same location I did a shoot with Kristin Folstad a few weeks ago. My assistant on this recording was Karoline Holand Fosby, who also did the make-up and her hair.
Despite the sun, the cold autumn weather didn’t give us any warmth. The model was a bit frozen, the assistant was dreaming of a cup of freshly brewed coffee ground on exotic beans from Brazil and I struggled even with little sleep deprivation and cold fingers, but we still managed to accomplished a shooter without any major challenges. As you can see from the picture we keep on in open shade where I partly have the sun directly in the lens. The shutter was on average at 1/125s and aperture of f/4-5.6. ISO was set to 200 and we had plenty of natural light.
Today I had my first model testing in ages, it felt. I photographed Kristin Folstad from Trend Models, the model agency here in Trondheim, downtown Trondheim. I had planned for an open shadow-shoot and the overcast weather provided the perfect light for todays shoot. Though it started to pour down half way through and we had to pack up our things and finish of.
Styling and make-up was done by Kristin, clothes are mainly from Gina Tricot. Tomorrow I’ll have my last model testing this weekend, hope the weather doesn’t ruin the shoot. I am hoping to borrow a Canon 5D Mk II of my room mate to shot a short film too.
I have also updated my site a bit, added some more links in the link-section and removed the dead links, renewed the font on the titles and added a photo galleryThe photo gallery is in the test phase, give it a brows through (around 3300 pictures) and give me some feedback if you’d like.
A bit too early after being ill for three days now I shot two fashion series with Rachel Nordtømme and Trine Eide a bit like the ones I shot of Oda Nordheim last Sunday. Today, my makeup artist Line Sofie Steinfinsbø, started with laying makeup and doing Trine’s hair. After a while Rachel arrived and got her hair and makeup done while I was photographing Trine. A helpful Sascha Njaa helped me rig the studio, both setting up the flash heads and meter the light.
Between the takes we got serious and shot some amazing pictures.
I går, tirsdag 6.
