Nikon Nikkor AF 35mm f-2.0 AF-D - Testshot of my old 35mm filmcamera - Minolta Dynax 7
Today my long awaited Nikon Nikkor AF 35mm f/2.0 AF-D-lens arrived at the local post office after traveling for quite a while. The 35mm I was recommended by my teacher Geir Terje Nergård at Fotofagskolen during our documentary course. The lens seem to be out of stock both on-line and in stores. Also used lenses that are advertised on Finn.no the used-market at Foto.no are quickly sold out. Popular glass. Along with the lens Stian Knudsen, the guy who sold me the glass, had packed a Nikon HN-3 Lenshood. I believe I’ve made a good bargain.
It is a wide angle lens with a wide aperture (f/2.0). Ken Rockwell recommends shooting at least at around f/4 to avoid vignetting. It is not a large lens as the more expensive Nikon 35mm f/1.4G and is quite light. Easy to carry around as the Nikon Nikkor AF 50mm f/1.4 AF-D I’ve been carrying around as a portrait / snapshot-lens until today.
I did some test-shots in the living room of my old Minolta Dynax 7 (Old 135mm film-camera) and was quite pleased to discover that the focus area started at 0,25 meters and extended to laying #8 ;) The bookeh was quite nice as well. This weekend I will test it when I am photographing for Hipster.no at Kos Bar&Lounge.
