Autumn last year, before this shot, Rinaldi from The View mag asked me if I had a fashion series that I’d like to have featured in their magazine. I told him I was working on a project that he might be interested in. My project was a shoot with Ivalu Sørensen from Le Management. We were to shoot this lingerie fashion series, just for fun and experience really. I sent some previews and the video I made to Rinaldi and they liked it so much they published the both the video on their Facebook Page and my series in their magazine, Issue 9.
Helping me out with hair and make-up was Dorthe Kjedgaard Hansen from DK-Styling. Head over to her site to check out her other great work dkstyling.blogspot.dk. The shoot took place in Ivalu’s apartment. It had one giant window facing south, but since it was so late in the year, the sun wouldn’t shine through until later that day giving us a pretty soft light. Watch the behind scenes / preview-video I made below if you are wondering more about the setup.

I shot some photos of Norway’s Miss Earth candidate, Marion Dyrvik Homlong, who was also a candidate in the Miss Norway contest 2010, a couple of weekends back. After shooting the “official photos”, portraits and full figure in dress and beauty makeup. We gear down a bit and did something I have more feeling for. Simple images without any complex and advanced lighting techniques. Location is the same spot I photographed Kristin Folstad a week earlier. This time we had had clear, sunny sky to work with, but since we shot in open shade complicated not this photo shoot anything. Make-up and hair was done by Karoline Holand Fosby.

Here are two pictures from the photo shoot my Kristin Folstad, Trend Models, earlier this month. The images are shot in natural light with a Canon EOS 1D Mark III and 24-105 f/4L, not quite the ultimate camera to use outdoors, in my opinion.

This weekend there will be a little calmer on the photo front with only two photo shoots, model testing and possibly baby photography. Days and weeks go by or to portraiture and group photography of children, adolescents and adults aged six months to retirement.

Operahuset

photo: Bjørn Christiansen, Operahuset

Last weekend I was on a little relaxation trip to Oslo and played a role as a tourist. I was a little trip to the opera roof, Akershus Fortress, Aker Brygge, trawled up and down Karl Johan and the overall two hours Jernbanetorget. Apart from the barrier around the government quarter, there were no major changes since I lived there in 2002/03 as a conscript in His Majesty the King’s Guard.

A few weeks ago I had a photo shoot with Maren Elise Aasen from Trend Models in a backyard in my neighbourhood. I photographed mainly for exercise’s sake, but also because Maren Elise needed new images to the folder’s. Maren Elise has been with Trend Models since 2009 and we’ve had a lot of photo shoots with the two years I have been at Norsk Fotofagskole. The first time I photographed her was during a course organized by Fotopia.no. If you’re interested you can find the photos from that photo shoot HERE: Fotoshoot Med Maren Elise Aasen.

Photographing for

Iris Skolefoto A/S

Iris Skolefoto A/S

Today I started on my new three-month job as a school photographer for the Iris Skolefoto A/S. This is not an unknown territory when I was a few years ago before I started studying atNorsk Fotofagskole, I photographed for one of the nation’s largest school photography agencies, Fovea A/S.
Today got to be familiar with the equipment and software we will use at work, the company and got to know who we will be working with these three months. Tomorrow we’ll have a bit more photo-drilling before we go out on a school on Monday to make it practical even more practical.

Today it is just ten days left until my exam is due, my days are numbered as a student at Norsk Fotofagskole. For the past 20 days I have been photographing fashion, product, architecture, commercial and ads and classical portraits and spent many hours in post production. Tuesday I am doing a re-shoot of the toaster, Wednesday I am photographing food and Thursday till Sunday will be the last days in post production. Today I had a re-shoot of the fashion-task, this time with Viktoria Konstanse Strand Kvalsvik from Trend Models, with clothes and shoes from BikBok, Weekday and Bianco Footwear. Location was Øysand in Melhus and E39 in Skaun, places I’ve been driving by for quite a few times, but never stopped.
The bus shed is right outside Buvika and still in use. The picture is of Viktoria, the model, and my favourite assistant Sascha Njaa.
