Here are two portraits I shot of Kristine Hove Røsok in April this year. The idea behind the pictures are not very deep, I would mainly do something I usually used to do, paint the model black. The light is relatively flat to give the smoothest possible background and to bring in the most detail where it is black, that is, most of the picture. It is these situations I’m glad I’m standing on the back of the camera, considering that Christine had to go through the whole city after we were done. I can not recall, but I think she had washed off most of the black paint before she left.

Studio lighting diagram from the shoot with Kristine Hove Røsok
As you may see in the pictures is the main light is positioned in the opposite angle than the light diagram I have attached the thread. I also photographed at an aperture f/6.3 so the light measurements contained in the diagram is also incorrect. The reason is that the chart is copied and reused from a previous shoot with Marion Dyrvik Homlong (2010) where I used almost the same set-up. However, the diagram can be used as a kind of recipe to replicate the images. Hope it comes in handy.

Earlier this year, namely April, I had a photo shoot with Kristine Hove Røsok studying a Master Degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering at NTNU. Kristine has been a lot infront of my camera during fall 2010 and spring 2011, while I was a student at Norsk Fotofagskole. These photos are taken right before I went to Århus, Denmark, to shoot an editorial fashion series that was a task at school. This series I photographed on free basis to have something to do, a half-baked plan, a little makeup and the models own clothes. It turned out nice at the end.

Last weeks photo shoot with Kristine Hove Røsok ended with a advertisement board for Pepsi Raw. Sunday I were in studio shooting a Pepsi Raw-glass-bottle with Sascha Njaa and Mimoza Rrusta and today I spent most of the time stitching everything together. Originally we were supposed to shoot a closeup of a model holding a bottle or a glass containing the drink, but I felt that the dress from H&M, Kristine was wearing gave the image more dynamics than just a cropped photo. Just for your information, this is not an official advertisement from Pepsi.

Last Wednesday I had a photo shoot with Kristine Hove Røsok in studio at Norsk Fotofagskole. Originally I was going to have the shoot my beverage assignment at Vega where I usually photograph for Hipster.no, but I didn’t manage to get a total idea of what i was going to shoot there also I didn’t have anyone to do makeup and hair on the model. Since the model, Kristine had all ready said yes to a photo shoot I decided to do something in studio instead. She brought some dresses she recently had bought at H&M and some accessories and the whole style was a bit Boho-chic. This is one of the last pictures from the shoot done with two lights, one beautydish and one large softbox.
Say hello to Kristine on her blogg
