Today I received a package from Kaffebrus, the Swedish web shop I usually get my camera upgrades from. I bought two new lens hoods for my Nikon Nikkor 50mm f/1.4D and Nikon Nikkor 35mm f/2.0D, both hoods made of metal instead of the rubber ones I had for just the 50mm. Since my HN-3 got a huge bulk when as a result of an tragic incident, but no other damage, I figured I should have all my lens hoods in metal, in case I drop my camera once more.
The ones I bought were the 52mm Motljusskydd to around 12$ each. I haven’t tested the 35mm with the smallest aperture that much, but the pictures I shot, haven’t had a trace of vignetting. Head over to Kaffebrus.com if you want one.
