Saturday morning my friend Kjetil Høiby and I went on a little trip across the fjord towards Ørland Main Air Station and the NATO Tiger Meet 2012. An air show with around 40 to 50 air crafts and helicopters from different NATO countries. I am not sure of every aircraft that were at the show, but here are some: F-16 Fighting Falcon (RNoAF, Türk Hava Kuvvetleri and Belgian Airforce), F/A-18 Hornet (Schweizer Luftwaffe), Dassault Rafale (Armee De L’Air), E-3 Sentry, an old Norwegian de Havilland Vampire, Saab JAS 39 Gripen (Flygvapnet), P-3C Orion, Consolidated PBY Catalina, Panavia Tornado IDS (Luftwaffe). Some of the planes were painted in a tiger scheme. Also there was a F-16 Fighting Falcon painted in the Norwegian colors celebrating the RNoAF 100 years anniversary, piloted by Major Eskil Amdal.
