After yesterday’s program of “Skal vi danse” (Shall We Dance) on Norwegian TV2, I have some questions about posting a compilation thread of all the images I have photographed of on of the participants in the program, Rachel Nordtømme. I was even at work yesterday and didn’t get to watch the show, not that I would have if I had been at home, but the newspaper critics to read, she came up the next weekend. Good luck Rachel!

Fashion in Ringvebukta

Here are two pictures from fashion series I did with Viktoria Konstanse Kvalsvik Trend Models. Location is Ringvebukta at Lade in Trondheim. We started early in the morning and was finished just before lunch, which meant that I got a pretty harsh light right before noon that I was looking for to make these particular pictures. From what I’ve been told is the Victoria is currently in New York and working as a model, doing catwalks and photo shoots.

During the next week I scheduled a photo shoot with Liv-Miriam Nortømme who runs Fysionett.Blogg.no which is a blog for about exercising and such. As a matter of fact I have spent some of my spare time here in Mo i Rana following easy home exercising-guide, doing some squats. I have had one photo shoot with Liv-Miriam right before Christmas 2010 with her sister Rachel Nordtømme. The pictures we shoot were styled with clothes from Retro in Trondheim. Check out her blog!

Otherwise, the weekend is quite packed with photography, hopefully there will have a shoot with Kristin Folstad on Saturday and one with Carina Velve, both from Trend Models.

Cowsis in Nordland

On my road trip north for Iris Skolefoto A/S, I came across these cattle grazing quietly by the road. Cows are great animals to photograph, especially when they have been out to pasture a great summer and are clean and neat in the fur instead of standing in the stall in their own shit. This is so far a-half year old heifers to be milking cows for my uncle not too long.
Tomorrow I will continue my journey up north. At half past seven leaves my Dash 8-plane, destination Mosjøen airport where the company my car is parked, from there I’ll be driving around 150 kilometres on the E6-one to Mo i Rana, where I will shoot around 600 portraits of students at Polarsirkelen High School.

Last news from Frøken Norge 2011 is that Anna Zahl, from Sortland, won the contest and will be representing Norway in the international contest. I had my fingers crossed for Charlotte Svee Hestnes. Better luck next time. Congratulations Anna Zahl.

New toothbrush

My new razor-tipped toothbrush gave me something to think about after I was finished brushing my teeth. This is one of my pictures of my interior series shot as an assignment at school. The series was about to express how we lived and stuff, giving us the opportunity to change everyday objects into something more interesting. We could style the apartment a bit more if we wanted to, but I think I overdid it. Yellow cardboard, a big pen and some fake blood sets the mood for a crime scene. A direct flash also helps setting the mood. I don’t know what my teacher, Geir Terje Nergaard, is going to say about this series, but I hope I don’t have to do it once more.

Bidrag til Benedikte Bulls fotokonkurranse

Det er en hel haug fotokonkurranser rundt om på nettet, noen litt større, feks hos Akam.no, og noen litt mindre, som den hos Benedikte Bull. Oppgavene varierer fra helt enkle og frie tema til mer begrensede rammer for levering. Benedikte Bulls konkurranse går ut på å levere to portrett, dyr eller menneske. Premie for beste bidrag er en 5 i 1 reflektor med en diameter på 56cm levert av tvspelweb.se, et firma som ser ut til å levere en god del fotoutstyr til slike konkurranser.

Mine to bidrag er to portretter jeg har skutt nå i Januar og Mars, hvor det første er fra modell-testingen min med Zeleste Vejle fra TrendModels. Her stod Margrethe Galaaen fra Stars & Bangs for hår og sminke og meg selv som stylist.

Det andre bidraget til konkurransen er et portrett av Kristin Folstad, også fra TrendModels. Ansvarlig for sminke og hår her var Tina Larsen fra H2-akademiet i Trondheim og stylingen gjort av Sascha Njaa fra Norsk Fotofagskole i forbindelse med hans oppgavelevering i Farge og Estetikk-kurset vi hadde nå nylig.

Sommerminner

Første august 2008 ble dette bildet tatt på Geitbuan i Orkdal. Det er i forbindelse med location-scouting til en bryllupsserie jeg fotograferte dagen etter. Året etter, i skrivende stund i år, benyttet jeg meg også av denne locationen.
Dette bildet gir meg en veldig rolig og avslappet sommerfølelse. Nå er det cirka seks måneder til jeg kan sette meg på verandaen min igjen og nyte en nytraktet god og varm kopp kaffe i solkroken en lørdag formiddag. Og ytterligere tre måneder til kan jeg også kanskje vente på at telefonen dirrer med spørsmål og grilling eller bading i Korsvika.
