Packing for Africa

I should maybe start packing my bags and camera gear soon, but I’m kind of not in the mood for doing such yet. I am not either looking forward to a seven hour long bus-trip with Lavprisekspressen tonight. I don’t know how much I get to update my blog when I am in Marrakesh, but I will try to keep you posted whenever I can.

Oda Nordheim, lovely girl listed at Trend Models as a model here in Trondheim. Her strong eyes and curly hair does a lot for this portrait of her. The t-shirt is bought on sale at Weekday. Cheap clothes. In post production I’ve let the colors be since my blog now is looking rather black and white. I believe this portrait works both with in color and black and white.

Third fashion photo of Oda Nordheim from Trend Models. The make up here is a bit lighter than the two previous portraits, the style is a bit lighter too. Since this is just a test shoot with the model I didn’t want to focus to much on the styling. The t-shirts was bought on sale on Weekday for about 30$, the jeans were the models own personal.

Just had to publish this second picture from today with Oda Nordheim from Trend Models. Same lighting as the last post, but with a slightly different angle. I love this close portrait of Oda. Hope you like it as well.

Today I had my first model testing in ages, or at least it felt like. This time it was with Oda Nordheim from Trend Models who I meet at Kos a week ago while I was photographing for Hipster.no. Oda had some experience with modeling, but not the style I was shooting for. She managed great. This is a taste of what to come.

This shoot is done with a square reflector about 6 meters away and very high up in the air. Also I have a octabank as a fill-in light to lighten the shadows. This way I can control the contrast in post production. I have also used a wind machine to get some more dynamic in the models nice, curly hair.
