A few weeks ago I photographed these images of Norway’s hopes in the Miss Earth contest (2011), Marion Dyrvik Homlong. I actually had other plans in terms of style, but since we were a little late out of the makeup chair that evening we had lost most of the light. We ran a lap around to find alternative locations, improvisation might work sometimes, not this time. Most were shot at well over ISO 4000, hence the grainy images. I also photographed the handheld so it was the Nikon D700 is really on trial.

I shot some photos of Norway’s Miss Earth candidate, Marion Dyrvik Homlong, who was also a candidate in the Miss Norway contest 2010, a couple of weekends back. After shooting the “official photos”, portraits and full figure in dress and beauty makeup. We gear down a bit and did something I have more feeling for. Simple images without any complex and advanced lighting techniques. Location is the same spot I photographed Kristin Folstad a week earlier. This time we had had clear, sunny sky to work with, but since we shot in open shade complicated not this photo shoot anything. Make-up and hair was done by Karoline Holand Fosby.

Her er to nye bilder av Marion Dyrvik Homlong. Bildene inngår i modelltestinga jeg gjorde med henne i forrige uke i forbindelse med mappen hun skal ha med seg ned til Kina på World Beauty Congress den 24. April i år. Igjen har Tina Larsen vært borte på modellen min med sminkepensler, rettetang, krølltang, hårspray og det frisører og makeup-artister bruker for å få modeller til å se pene ut.

Det siste bildet (2/3-figur) er tatt med dette oppsettet. På portrettet har jeg lagt inn en en stoftboks fra venstre side med en blender f/5,6 for å få et ekstra kantlys og skille modellen fra bakgrunnen. Oppsettet er kliss likt oppsettet fra Del 1 og Del 2 av denne serien. Forskjellen er at vi, Sascha Njaa og meg, hang opp en mørkegrå bakgrunn i stedenfor den hvite for å skape litt mer kontrast i forhold til det hun hadde på seg av klær.
